IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY ONLY (EXAMPLES LISTED BELOW) CALL US ON 07739 314 316 (DAVID) OR 07816 524 046 (ALAN) – KEEP TRYING BOTH MOBILES UNTIL YOU GET AN ANSWER
What constitutes an EMERGENCY?
- Water coming in / flooding (after you’ve switched off taps / shower and cleared up any excess water). You will need to inform all housemates not to use area / taps until the issue is resolved. TURN OFF THE WATER AT THE STOPCOCK IF NECESSARY
- Lost keys or broken lock (no other housemates are around or due back shortly to let you into the property). NOTE – you will need to pay the locksmith directly for the cost of repair and replacement of all keys unless the lock is faulty, so do try not to loose them!
- Fire at the property – of course, after you have contacted emergency services
- Damage to the perimeter of the property that affects security – i.e windows or external doors damaged
- Something that directly puts your welfare or health and safety at risk
FOR EVERYTHING ELSE, USE THE FORM BELOW TO CONTACT US – PLEASE DON’T CALL MOBILES UNLESS IT IS AN EMERGENCY
What subject should I pick?
I have a question:
General enquiries – examples could be how to read your meters, vacuum cleaner not working. Basically anything that doesn’t require a trades person to visit.
I need to report a maintenance issue:
If something is broken or not working and will require a trades person then let us know here. Once this is logged we can allocate to a team to come out and resolve the issue.
I need to inform you of something:
If there is something we need to know about that’s happening in the house then let us know here – if it needs to be discrete and you don’t want us to use your name then just mention that in the message and we’ll do the rest.
Lightbulbs
Light bulbs are your responsibility – if it blows then unless there is a fault, then you will need to replace it. Also if a bulb fails it can sometimes trip the fuses so you will need to re-set the fuse on the box in the cellar (usually they are marked with the letter ‘L’ so you can find it but it will be the one facing a different direction than the other fuses) Again, any questions please ask here.
Blocked Drains
If a drain is blocked (for example a bath, sink or shower) it is your responsibility to unblock it – use drain un-blocker and something to pull out hair / debris from the trap. If it doesn’t resolve the problem we may need to call out maintenance and unless there is a problem with the mechanisms, this will be chargeable to you, as will any damage occurring from failure to report faults etc.
Council Tax
If you need to send your enrolment certificates to the council you can email them to: revenueservices@northampton.gov.uk and also reference the property address so they can match the records.
